Meet The Staff

Deborah Beck-Ross, DVM
I am a graduate of Texas A&M's College of Veterinary Medicine (I'm not
saying what year). I now live in Avondale with my 2 children, son Stone (a
student at Kennett High), daughter Kennedy ( a student at Greenwood
Elementary), my significant other, Michael and his 2 sons, Tyler and Andrew (both at Kennett
High). Our fur covered family includes 4
cats, 1 dog and Fang our pet tarantula. I challenge myself twice a week with
kickboxing class (I have achieved the il dan bo belt now). When I'm not working I'm
shuffling kids back and forth to guitar lessons, dance class,
horseback riding lessons and track. In my spare time (?), I enjoy
reading, gardening and a good glass of wine.

Joyce Bendokas, VMD
I am a graduate of University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine
and West Chester University. I've been part of the Penn Animal Hospital
family since July 2007, and have enjoyed our clients and pets very much.
Originally from New York, I came to Pennsylvania in 1979, because of my life
long horse habit. I enjoy quiet times with friends and family, local music,
gardening and horse racing. I share my home in Oxford, PA with my son Jesse
and our pet cats. My son Jehon is grown and active in the US Air National
Guard. |

Russell W. Wambold, Jr.
Technician and Primary Animal Caretaker
Everyone knows – I’m Russ! I have worked for Penn Animal
since 1976. I am dedicated to my job and taking care of your pets and
I probably know your pet’s name better than yours. I really enjoy the
long standing relationships I have established with many clients. I
have 2 cats I love and enjoy, who run my house; one is the morning
alarm clock (meow-meow!) I am a member of the Laurel’s Longbeards Local
Chapter of the National Turkey Federation. I enjoy black powder and teaching
black powder to the youth in our area. I also enjoy street rodding, my
mountain property (upper PA) , working in my garden (Green Thumb!) and
my family. I really, really enjoy the clients and their delicious
baked goods at Christmastime. |
