In Memoriam
Poems
"Consuelo" Soler 2005-2009
Consuelo, when we first got you, you were so tiny and cute.
Little did we know what a journey we would all travel with you. Your mommy knew
something was wrong and by the time we got you to Penn Animal Hospital, Dr. Beck
did not think you would make it for long, yet you
always made it through. As always, you brightened everyone's day and
became special to everyone that came in contact with you. Your mellowness and
your giant heart were truly one of a kind. I never had a pet kiss me or your
mommy the way you did. Even in my hardest days, you would cheer me up with your
kisses. I'll never forget how you also always ate the dog food, when we were not
around. A little over 4 years later you are now gone and our hearts ache every
time we think of you. It's impossible to not cry when we think of you because of
how special you still are. You were just perfect all the way to the end. You
truly changed our lives and the way we love our pets even more than ever is in
part because of you. You were there with us when Mommy and Daddy could not have
their own children, and now find it hard to accept the fact that our own son,
when born in October, will only see pictures and hear stories about you. We know
it was not easy for you with your breathing problems, but we are still so
grateful to Penn Animal Hospital for EVERY THING they did for us and you. You
will NEVER be forgotten my sweet "binkie-poo", "fattie-bo-battie",
"snoop,-bunny-snoop" (these were just some of his many nicknames we had for our
baby). We love you Consuelo.
Love Mommy and Daddy
"Daisey" Gordon 2001 - 2009
She was a sweet loving dog and we miss her.
"Boopers" Eshelman 1999-2009.
In memory of my Little Boopers. You gave us the best seven years
of our lives, We all miss you and love you dearly. Everyone asks about you
because they all know how much we cared and loved you, and all that was possible
because of the wonderful staff and Dr. Beck at Penn Animal Hospital!

Wesley
February 13, 1993 - August 27, 2009
Many of you knew our beloved dog Wesley who was so close to us for the
past 16 ½ years. We did the kind thing this past Thursday and put him to
rest peacefully. He "told us" he was ready and as hard as it was
anticipating it and actually going through with it, it is even harder
after the fact. Coming home day after day and expecting to see him greet
us and even hearing his footsteps on the tile and hardwood floors still...
We are grieving deeply as he was a child to us and we have found that the
grief is the same as losing any family member.
If you knew him you know what a great dog he was and how faithful and
loving he was to us and everyone. We know he has a soul that will pass on
just like ours.
He LOVED carrots!
We want to share these memories in the attached video of our Beloved
Friend that we miss so much. Thanks for letting us share this with you as
it helps us get through this.
Love and Peace,
Dave and Diane

Sabrina and Shadow 1996 - 2009
The two were born a few months apart.
One was tall, long, fast and full of love.
The other was small, furry, blue eyed and full of fire.
They grew up together, sometimes sleeping side by side.
She used her herding skills to scold and protect him from injury.
When he raced, she attached herself to his tail and he taught her how to
fly.
They brought joy and motion into my life.
In the end, they left this life a few weeks apart.
They will be missed: Sabrina and Shadow, 1996 - 2009

“Pinky” Harris
2004 – November 2, 2008
Pinky,
I will never forget January 8, 2005, the very first time I
saw you at the pet store, and how I instantly knew I had to have you. Or when I
took you home and I refused to put you in your cage because I wanted to hold the
beautiful, sweet girl I was falling in love with. Or the time we were laying
together and I fell asleep, and when I woke up you had peed the bed!!! Or the
time we met Jeff Corwin and the only thing we ever heard him say was “That’s a
big bunny”. Or how you taught me everything about bunnies and made me fall in
love with saving them. Or all the times I was hurt and I would hold you close
and kiss your beautiful head and you would heal me. Or my very first bunny best
friend who helped me find my way and learn who I am and what I want to be. I
will never forget you.
And I know Penn Animal Hospital will never forget you. We
will never forget your eye problems coming back and having to medicine you up
again! I know Dr. Beck will never forget your sweet little face or how you were
always excited to see her. I will never forget how Dr. Beck and I thought you
had the most unique reddish-brown cheek and ear spots. I know BlackJack will
never forget you, and he can’t wait to see you in bunny heaven.
Since I first saw you and to this day and forever: I think
of you everyday and all the joys you brought to me. I will never forget how
everybody who saw us knew you and I were meant to be together, that we were
special and perfect together. I will see you in the next life, my love.
I will never forget all the tender times we had that nobody
else knows about but us.
Your Amberly
In loving memory
of the most beautiful 14-pound Flemish Giant that ever graced this planet with
her presence. I will NEVER forget how she changed my life in every way and made
me a better person.

way of hopping into your heart”, and Pinky really did.

Buttercup
July 1994 to June 2010
We want to thank you so much for the care, concern and
compassion you showed in taking care of our Buttercup. Although you only
knew her the last quarter of her 16 years, you acted as if you knew her all
her life. How fitting for her last hours to be spent at your office, a
place she always enjoyed. Whether it was the smells of other pets or the
calming influence of the staff, she would always get excited as soon
as we pulled into the parking lot and literally pulled us through the door
to get inside!
We will never forget the love and kind compassion you showed her and us
when we brought her in for the last time. It was a difficult time for us and
your thoughtful and considerate actions were so appreciated.
